Is it really my third year already?

I am sitting in class waiting for my professor to show up and thinking...is this really my third year already?? It is absolutely insane to think that I will be getting my bachelor's degree at the end of this year and I am one more year closer to becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy! This year, a lot of things have changed. I am no longer commuting and now have a house with 5 other girls only a couple blocks away from campus! It is going to be one exciting year in that house! And now I am finally starting to take classes that are good use for my major and not just core classes for the university. Granted I still have a few, but some of them I will put to good use when I graduate. I am most excited about my anatomy and physiology course! That, I think, will be a lot of fun! I am hoping to volunteer at Hospital for Special Surgery this fall and get into their sports rehabilitation and performnce center to shadow of few of their therapists. Some of those therapists are team PT's for the Giants, Mets, Red Bulls, USA Swimming and many more pro teams! I am very excited for that. I am also hoping to go on a Mission's trip with the group, Athletes in Action, during winter break, so I will keep you posted on the details of that trip! I hope everyone has a wonderful fall!

Wrapping up the summer...

I can't thank the Lord enough for the amazing summer I was blessed with. From family vacations to missions trips to running a five mile race, the whole summer was filled with adventure and excitement! I ended my sophomore year with a great GPA and had over a month to relax before I started work in June. I spent that time with my family, friends, and at my favorite place in the world...Barnegat Light! In June, I started nannying for the greatest family ever for my third summer :) They are the most precious kids and I couldnt be more happy to watch them everyday. In July, our family took our annual vacation to Barnegat Light for our two weeks, which included July 4th weekend. No matter how much I go to BL, it just isn't the same without my family there, so when I get to spend 2 weeks with them in my favorite place in the world, I feel very blessed and just thank God for the amazing people and places he has put in my life. After barnegat Light, I was able to go to a different part of the shore to spend a couple days with two of my best friends Steph and Cristina! So happy I got to see them over the summer and not just during the school year!

This year was my nephew, Hudsyn's, first beach trip! He was a little unsure at first, then by the third day, we could not get him away from that water. He loved to let the sand run through his fingers as well. Ah...I just love that little boy!

Speaking of Hudsyn, on August 24th, the little simba turned 1! Can you believe it? Just one year ago, we were all worried about his health because he was a month premature. And now? Well, let's just say he definitely does not look premature, especially with his aunt and grandma feeding him yogurt and cookie non- stop when we have him!

I also attended a mission's trip this summer with my church, Christ the King of Denville. Me, three other leaders, and the youth group went to the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission to "fix it up" and do some cleaning because they just reopened after a few years. We also painted their foyer with their beautiful rich red colors and emblem. On our spare time, we were able to go to Ocean Grove and Belmar to enjoy beautiful beach days. My favorite part of the trip was having devotions on the beach at night. SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!

To think my summer couldn't get any better, it did! I accomplished a 5 mile run with one of my best friends, Chelsea, down in Harvey Cedars in Long Beach Island. We were so proud of ourselves! Chels finished in 45 min and I finished right behind her in 46 min! Go us! Surprisingly, my leg didn't give me too many problems. I got a cramp right by my plates and screws in the 2nd mile which slowed me down a little bit, but I was able to battle back and finish! I can't wait to run it again next year with Chels and maybe even do the 18 mile....Lord willing! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer and unfortunately it is back to school time...
